Perry Mason and Company, Boston
This firm was one of the publishers of The Youth's Companion. It
published this magazine between 1867 and 1929. Interestingly Erle
Stanley Gardner named his famous fictional lawyer Perry Mason after the
the publisher of the periodical he enjoyed reading as a boy.
In 1890 this house published several Mayne Reid books as part of a
series. The details are unknown but this set included:
1. Desert Home
2. Afloat in the Forest
Interestingly this cover format was also used by the Industrial
Publishing Company and Worthington Company.
