James Redpath published titles only in 1863 and 1864.
This firm published one Mayne Reid title: Croquet. It is probably the
most costly of all the Mayne Reid titles.
Mayne Reid wrote the first book about rules of the game of Croquet. It
was published by James Redpath,
a Boston publisher, in 1863. This treatise was subsequently reprinted
with changes by other publishing houses.
Cloth. Various colors. 16 mo. 48 pages. Originally 50 cents.
A version with co-publisher A. Roman and Co., a San Francisco house,
has been noted. No details about this latter book are known at this
time.
