Mayne Reid Publishers

The number of American publishers of Mayne Reid books is quite large. Firms that were primarily publishing in England but had offices in the United States-Routledge, Warne, Thomas Nelson and Sons -are not part of this pictorial bibliography (at least at this time).

Mayne Reid wrote a number of stories that were included in various periodicals. He was the editor of Onward, a magazine for youth. These publishers are not included below.

A few Mayne Reid publishers from the first decade of the 20th century are included here for completeness: M. A. Donohue and Company, The Mershon Company, Stitt Publishing Company, and Grosset and Dunlap.
